Are you undergoing a life change? Possibly you have
received a diagnosis, or are a caregiver
who fulfills a crucial role which is necessary to the
emotional and physical well-being of an
individual dealing with chronic illness. Often
patients, their families, and all caregivers must be prepared
to cope with a wide range of physical, emotional, and
social consequences of a disease and treatments, for
extended periods. This can be a stressful and difficult
time.
I'm Patricia Magliocco, founder of
. My
goal is to relieve some of the pressures connected with
chronic illness, and enable others to take better care of
themselves. In doing so, my hope is that you will gain a sense
of confidence and purpose, and develop the
skills required in taking action before a greater
problem occurs.
The idea to present retreats and workshops has been my
passionate pursuit for a long time.
I am an educator with 20 years of teaching experience, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and English, a post diploma after degree in Education and a Master of Divinity degree. I have received hospital chaplaincy training with two units of Clinical Pastoral Education and have recently completed a three-year certificate program in Pastoral Biblical Theology.
Through years of facilitation, I have discovered that personal development sessions are of most value when the participants are actively involved. It has been my experience that women bond naturally with women, which is why I have decided to specialize in women's retreats and workshops. Presently, I have chosen to do retreats solely for women coping with chronic illness and their caregivers, as I have connected closely with women who have been part of this journey. I look forward to meeting you. |
